This gold bracelet was given to me by my grandma in Mexico a few months after I was born. Traditionally, In Mexico wearing gold is said to protect you. In our family, we have a tradition that the grandparents are the ones who give the gold jewelry to their grandchildren. My grandma bought my brother and I the same bracelet with our names on it made entirely out of real gold. It's special to me because I wore it my whole childhood, until it got too tight on my wrist. This bracelet is the only thing I have from my grandma. I will forever have this bracelet, and, when my children are born, my mom will do the same for my kids, and, when my kids have kids, I will do the same for them.
