My glasses are important to me because they help me see the world better. I never take them off because I want to see everything by how it really looks like instead of seeing pixels and blurry. If I take them off, I start to get a headache. I started using them when I was in 3rd grade, but I needed them in 2nd grade. My glasses help me see the beauty of the world we live in. It helped me see how people celebrate our religion, the independence of Mexico, 15 parties, etc. I haven't changed them since 7th grade. One time when I lost my glasses and I missed out on some fireworks in Mexico, I got mad at myself for losing them. I'm grateful for my glasses for letting me see just like normal people see. People say “You look Asian” all the time when I don’t have my glasses on. My parents want me to do surgery so I can see without them, but I don't want to because they told me there is a chance it can go wrong and I can go blind. I put on my old glasses and I can't see with them anymore. I wonder if my eyesight got worse or the glasses don't work anymore.
