Story pending

My grandfather came from Dusseldorf,Germany, after World War II, and he came to Boston, Massachusetts, where he met my grandmother, and later raised my mom. In Germany, people eat mustard on their food, mainly on various meats. Mustard usually comes in something called a mustard jar or mustard pot, which is basically a small ceramic cup. These jars are sometimes collected. My mom and grandfather used to eat pastrami, and german cured meats with mustard. He used to always put it in the jar he had from back in Germany. It was a small thing that helped connect him to where he came from. Many years later, my mom got to keep the jar after my grandfather's unfortunate passing. Now my family and I still use the jar to store amazing German mustard, and it's very interesting to see how a small inanimate object can really connect you to where you came from.
