My object is fried chicken. My mom told me about her mom's recipe for fried chicken, she makes when family members come from far away. I am Indonesian and during holidays, we get to share our Indonesian culture together.  Some people come from Virginia, Brooklyn, and New Jersey.  For me fried chicken represents a day when we meet new/old family members and I think about my grandma.  My mom  only uses the recipe when we have people come over. So this object is important to me and my family because we love our grandma and  it is recipe that has bee passed down to my mom, my sisters, and me. Fried Chicken is a dish that helps us connect to our Indonesian side.
