It all began in 2001, when my father and mother came to the United States and decided to stay in Woodstock, Virginia. They came from El Salvador with dreams of a better life.  My parents didn’t have money, so my father decided to work at a pizza place in Woodstock near the Woodstock Cafe, but the pizzeria does not exist anymore. A couple years later, he started working at Italian Touch Pizza in Woodstock where he was inspired to open up his own restaurant. On April 14, 2008, my father’s Italian Touch opened, and everyone loved it. Everyone in Broadway would come here for their pizza and subs. The pizza is the main part of Italian Touch because it is delicious, and everyone enjoys it. The youngest daughter was born on May 23, 2008, and she loves pizza. My whole family loves eating pizza, and we have it every so often. Pizza is something that we bring to family gatherings for the kids and even the adults enjoy it. Everyone knows that my father owns the Italian Touch in Broadway, and people always talk about it and ask for free food. My family’s story is unique because my father has been a great role model for a lot of people and helped them want to pursue their dreams. We thank the family that inspired my father to open up his own place because, without them, we wouldn’t have a pizza place now.
