This is a special image that represents the legacy of my family two generations ago and will continue to be important for us into the future.  It represents the effort of a great family man (my grandfather!) needs to be remembered. Whenever I see and talk about this painting it reminds me of difficult times that my past generations went through, and seeing what we have today are the fruits of that effort and the essence of the challenges that my family once had to go through. Whenever I see that mirror in the middle of the painting I could imagine seeing what my grandfather went through to survive with his family, 30 years ago now and his painting refreshing like the water of the sea.
