My object is my Filippino Pearl Earrings. They came from the Philippine sea. My grandma bought them in Manila (the  capital of the Philippines.) These earrings are the only mine . I only wear these earrings on special occasions. These earrings came from a clam in the Philippine sea.  These earrings are also really special because they only come  from the Philippines which is a big part of my culture.

These earrings are important to  my family and I because they are from the Philippines and that's where my dad’s  family is from. This object is connected to my grandma who immigrated from the Philippines in 1981. I feel warm when I wear my earrings because she gave them to me and I feel like she is protecting me even more than she already is. I also wear them when I go out for the day with her or shopping to show a connection of love. I wear these earrings on special occasions to show my culture.
My questions for  my ancestors about my object is: What kind of clam did the pearl come from? Where in the Philippines can you buy them? Will I one day pass it on to my kids like you did to me? Are they expensive? One day I hope to go to the Philippines, buy a clam and find a pearl inside.
