Feather quill
Boston is known for more than witch trials and pilgrims, it has a historical past. Although I had done most of the 16 sites, the day had felt like years. The picture that I’m showing is a Feather Quill Pen Set. It doesn’t sound like it would mean much to a person, but it does to me. This event is important to me because this event was the one thing I brought back with me from Boston. This what they had much used back then to write documents or letters etc. I had gone to Paul Revere’s house, he was famous for creating spoons, he also had taken place in the Boston Tea Party, and he created a system of lanterns to warn the minutemen of the British Invasion. But where I got this photo was at the Plimoth Plantation. This plantation attempts to replicate the original settlement of the Plymouth Colony was established in the 17th century by the English colonists who therefore became known as pilgrims. The quill pens originated in Spain in the 600 AD. These pens were used a lot of back then to write many important documents like the Magna Carta and The American Declaration of Independence. These pens have a very sensitive point and If it is used incorrectly it will break easily. To this day the quill pens are still used but not as much, the pens are used in U.S. Supreme Court sessions each time. Pen quills are hard to use, but they are really fun to use when u learn how to use it. Even though the Freedom Trail and the Plimoth Plantation are a long experience, it was good to learn how everything was in Boston historically. #JSarich2019, #Boston2016, #Freedom Trail
