It’s rare to have the whole family together. But, it’s very special. It was the summer of 2017. It was my aunt's 66th birthday and everyone was invited to St.lucia. My mom is afraid of planes so she didn’t come with my brother. It’s always a bumpy ride when flying home! We were staying for 2 weeks and during that time it felt like a dream. Before my aunt's big party we did so much as a family. My aunt did so many excursions. The big party. It was amazing! All the family had so much bonding time. It was so sad to see everyone go. It is even sadder that I haven't seen most of them since. It’s important to remember and truly have fun at family gatherings, especially if it’s with the whole family, because you will never know when you can experience something like it again or it will just be a simple memory. I always think back to this memory and wonder when something like it will happen again. When will I ever experience something that special with family again and be overwhelmed with joy? But, now I just have to cherish every moment I spend with a long-distance family member because I never know when I will meet them again.
