My mom's necklace

This image represents one of my mom’s necklaces. This necklace was originally a ring that belonged to my great-grandma. The diamond is from my great-grandma's engagement ring. After my great-grandfather died, my great-grandma stopped wearing this ring. She got the diamond made into a different type of ring because she no longer wanted to wear her engagement ring and wanted to make it into something a little fancier. After my great-grandma died, there were two diamonds that my mom could choose to have. One of them was the diamond from my great-grandma’s engagement ring. One was the diamond from my great-great grandma’s engagement ring. My mom liked the diamond from my great-grandma’s engagement ring, so she chose that one. Since my mom was already married to my dad when she was choosing between the diamonds, she did not need an engagement ring. My mom already had the engagement ring from when my dad proposed to her and could not use the ring as an engagement ring. My mom wanted to still be able to wear it even though she couldn’t wear it as a ring. My mom decided that instead of having it as a ring, she wanted it as a necklace. My mom then made the ring into a necklace. Now, the ring looks like the necklace in the picture. My mom wears the necklace all the time now. Even though she was not able to wear it as a ring, she now can wear it whenever she wants as a necklace, and it looks just as good.
