El Salvador Bags
My mother originated from Olocuilta, El Salvador where a lot of attire and accessories are handmade. When my mother left El Salvador to come to the United States she brought with her one of these handmade bags. This bag meant a lot to her as it not only reminded her of her home country it was also made by her grandmother. These bags provide income and keep traditional techniques alive for the people of El Salvador. Later on, my mother gifted me one of these handmade bags with my name engraved on it, which I found super cool that they are able to do that. This handbag means a lot to me as it was my first traditional gift and it makes me feel close to my family in El Salvador. Now every time I visit El Salvador I take it with me.
