The earings of hope are important to my family and I because it symbolizes hope in the darkest of time and makes you remember that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. It's been passed down from generation to generation. My grandmother gave it to my mother before she immigrated to America. Now hoping that one day the time will come and I'll be ready for it to be passed down to me. My mother  wore it as she was crossing the American border for a better life. She was losing hope, then remembered what her eari is meant and kept moving forward.
