My object is Dominican peso. My dad was born in la Romana in the Dominican Republic. In 2017 I went to the Dominican Republic, and I was introduced to the country. I used the peso to go to the corner store. 

The peso are made out of copper, the money in the Dominican Republic does not have the currency like the u.s, for example 0.27 cents are 5 peso in the Dominican Republic.
This is important to me because it reminds me of Dominican Republic. The peso was introduced after the country gained independence from Haiti in 1844. In 1992, limited editions of the 2000 and 500 peso had been issued. Did you know the symbols for peso is RD$.In between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico is this island called Mona Island, this island had mostly iguanas and crabs. In this island were people called the ‘’Taino’’, and they were native caribbeans. I bet Taino’s never used pesos, they exchanged items with goods.
