The bracelet is important to me because it reminds me of my country, culture, friends and my family. The person who gave me the bracelet is my mom’s best friend. I consider her as a second mom, since she has supported me many times and cared for me.  When my mother was not there she gave me the bracelet one day. Before I came to the United States, she told me to remember where I come from, my country and to remember my friends and my family. When I have the bracelet I feel happy because when I miss my country I look at the bracelet and I get excited because I remember the good times I had in my country.
