This is a 1971 John F. Kennedy dollar coin. This coin is from my Grandfather who collected many kinds of currencies. Out of all this was his favorite coin. He said he received it one day as change for a purchase, the cashier thought it was a quarter but it wasn’t. He gave this and most of his other coins to me. This was given to me in 2018 just days before he went into housing for the last year and a half of his life. This coin while not having much value in currency, will stay in my family for the rest of my life and hopefully further.
