My object is a carving of a dog,This carving was made by my Great Grandfather and he was from Czechia, A country in eastern europe. This carving is a decoration.I chose this item because it was the only item that I could find that was connected to my ancestors. What I learned from this was that my Great Grandfather was from Czechia, And that wood carving is important to Czech culture.There has always been a dog carving on my shelf and I never knew the story behind it, and now I’m glad to have changed that.
