The object is called Jambia and fits in the category of Attire.  It is an ancient Yemeni dagger. Its origin goes back to folk customs and traditions and is one of the ancient Yemeni civilizations. The handle of the Jambia is made of Karak and decorated with silver letters. The object came from Yemen. My culture and my family told me to do this because it’s always showing the history of Yemen. This is connected to our object culture because it’s showing the history of Yemen and it is part of our culture to wear it and look good in it.  The object is important to me because when I wear it I feel like people know where I am from and what it is. We wear them for our holiday of Eid and for weddings.
