Cross necklace.
My family tree is very dynamic when it comes to religion, On my Mom’s side of the family, A big majority of them are Buddhist and or have beliefs” that surround Buddhism . And on my Dad’s side, Many of them are either Catholic or Christian. When I was younger, I would consider myself an atheist, but over time, as I got older my family (my dad’s side) they would start taking to me to church every Sunday, if not every other week. It felt sort of forced since, They never asked if I wanted to go. But I never spoke up about it because I wasn’t as aware at the time. When I was around approximately, 10 Years old (YO) they weren’t taking me to church as obsessively as they used to, but they would still force me to go every once in a while when they saw me. The same thing happened to my brother when he was around my age, and as he got older it would stick with him. So, when he was 16 (he’s currently 19.) my family gifted him this necklace (The same one shown in the photo). Because they wanted him to wear his beliefs” but they also knew my brother liked jewelry, which is another possible” reason for why they got it for him. So about 2-3 months ago, my brother decided that he no longer wanted to wear this necklace because he thought it didn’t represent him anymore. So he gifted it to me. P.S ; I only recently started wearing this necklace despite having it for a few months, and yes, I changed. I partially consider myself to be Christian” Although it was semi forced.
