Cross
I treasure the cross my family uses for praying. Even though the cross itself is on a string like a necklace, it is not used like a necklace. You are supposed to wrap around your hand or wrist while praying. The cross is at least one hundred years old. Me and my family are unsure of who originally had the cross. So the cross was passed from my great-great-great grandma Katy Lee from Ireland or my great-grandma Mary Archebold who was from New York. The cross represents my family’s Irish-Catholic ancestry. I obtained the cross from my mom who had it passed down to her. the history as told by my mom. It’s also important because it is from my ancestors overall. I never got a lot of stuff passed down from ancestors so when I got the cross it was actually something special.
