Coricos
This story is about traditional cookies called Coricos. This recipe was first introduced to the family by mom’s great-great-grandma. I am unsure of her name or what year it was but this recipe has been in this family for years. I would say the recipe of the cookie but it is a traditional secret recipe. We make this cookie every holiday, mainly Christmas and Thanksgiving. There is not much of a background story to this recipe except her grandma is from her dad's side of the family. At first, when my dad first got here from Mexico and moved to the United States and met my mom she introduced this to my dad. At first, my dad didn't know what it was but then he tasted it and he liked it. Like I said before this recipe has been in the family for generations, and we make them every year. This recipe is very special to our family and it is also one of the reasons why it makes our family special and not basic. I have not seen or heard of another family with this recipe which is part of the reason why our family is different. The cookies to me mean family in a way and it's what brings us all together.
