Coquito

Group:

My parents and I migrated from Puerto Rico to Chicago in 2008 when I was around 2 years old. I would say both my parents are most representative of my cultural identity. My object is Coquito which is Coquito (also known as Puerto Rican Eggnog) is a drink made with sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and rum. Coquito originates from Puerto Rico and is usually made during Christmas or Thanksgiving, but sometimes we make it for less important occasions. It is important to me because it is part of my culture and I enjoy watching my family make it during the holidays.
