Christmas Stocking
My Great-great-aunt moved from Russia around Christmas time. She decided to make stockings for her family to remember the time she moved from Russia to America. After she passed away my great aunt took over and made stockings for her family and her brother's family. She also made stockings for her children who are my dad, my two uncles, and my two aunts. My aunt will take over this tradition someday. I hope this tradition goes on for generations and generations. The stockings are made of wool and are green, red, and white. In the middle of the stocking, there is a face of Santa. Each stocking is personalized with our first names. My stocking looks new and my father's is aging. The white parts are turning lite brown. This is important to my family because it has been going on for a long time. I hope more families will start doing this so they have something to share with their family and have to remember their family.
