This Filipino tradition occurs in my family and in many other families on Christmas Eve. This has been occurring in my family for as long as I can remember and is something that I will always cherish. On Christmas Eve we will stay up til midnight and open Christmas presents and eat a meal. This meal is often the Filipino ham that is represented in the image above. My father migrated here in 1984 and ever since I was born this has been an ongoing tradition.
