This vase isn't much of a heirloom, but it's a little thing my grandparents brought from China to remind them of where it is they came from. The characters around the vase read "Smooth sailing," to act as a good luck charm for the future, in hopes it'll bring fortune and, well, "smooth sailing" to the lives of those who have it.
