Chinese Porcelain Spoon
My nationality is Chinese Jamaican so we eat a lot of food. To eat food you use utensils and in the chinese culture, we use a porcelain spoon. Since I have been really young I have been using these spoons to eat everything. These are really important to my family because we eat a lot of food that requires us to use these spoons. My dad has a collection that he got from his grandmother when he was younger. My great grandma moved from China to Jamaica during the 1900’s. Now that I moved to New York my dad has taken the set with us and we still use them almost on a daily use. My sister’s and I never got to meet our great grandma, so we use these spoons as a way to symbolize her migration to Jamaica and now our move to New York.
