Chinese envelope
My object is a red envelope with a golden words and pictures on it. I'm not exactly sure about where where it came from, but it was probably manufactured and sold at a Chinese store. The history behind the envelope, was that on the day of Chinese New Year, my parents gave me a Chinese envelope with money in it to celebrate the Chinese culture. These envelopes contain a certain amount of money depending on the person giving you it. The coloring pattern shows luck, wealth, and prosperity. This envelope is a part of the culture, to give it to someone else in a special time. This is very important to our family because it shows that everyone cares for each other and gives them a long and happy life. These envelopes are a gift and us being here is a present.
