China glass and cup
Has the thought crossed one's mind of how some of the earth's finest and most beautiful objects are some of the earth's oldest? Traveling the earth for decades upon decades, over seas, mountains, and great deserts, these items have seen journeys like no other and have survived to now be possessed by people like us, passed down from generation to generation creating a story that connects us to our ancestors. My family has been lucky enough to have received beautiful china wear, passed down from my great grandparents. The plates and cups are used during special occasions, for instance, Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner. The dinning set reminds us of the ancestors of my family and the struggle they had to burden for my family and me to be at the place we are now, therefore we must follow the tradition of eating every special meal from these plates. Traveling from the beautiful country of china, the set of cups and plates have been around for many years. Although the trip was a prolonged journey, it is one that has shaped my family for centuries. Furthermore, the china set reminds us of the wonderful times we’ve had when my family gathers together, all the Christmas’, Thanksgivings, and Birthdays we’ve spent together laughing and joking while eating on grandma’s plates, memories like these are memories I surely won’t forget. In brief, the antique china has had a lasting effect on my family, from the memories to the story, Grandma's china is one item that has a major significance in my life and the lives of past and present family members.
