The item I chose for this story is my camera. I first got it around last year because a couple of my friends had them and I liked the idea of photography but I really decided to take it up once I went on my first vacation with my camera. It was this summer and my family went to California and Hawaii for the last month of summer. When I was there it was really cool to photograph things that weren't back in new york like beautiful beaches, and animals. It was also really cool to photograph what my family did on that vacation so we can look back on it for years to come. Throughout the vacation I had I had already learned a lot of new skills like composition, editing, and how a camera works so when I was back in New York I got my first paid job. I was playing basketball with Aiden and other friends when a camp owner asked me if the camera was mine. After we talked for a little he offered me a job to get photos for his new basketball camp. These experiences made me like photography a lot more because it can save great memories I have, teach me new skills, and make me money.
