Cafe Bustelo has always held a special place in my heart.  When I was a little girl living with my grandma, the rich intense aroma of cafe bustelo would waft through the house every morning, gently waking me up. The strong, dark, roasted coffee is known for its richness and intensity, and it was a staple in our home. My grandma has been drinking cafe bustelo for years, and she loves it. I stopped because it was too strong for me. Cafe Bustelo originated in Spain, it made its way to Cuba, where it became a beloved coffee choice. Eventually, it migrated to East Harlem New York, where it found a special place in the hearts of many spanish speaking communities. For my family, who are Puerto Rican, Cafe Bustelo is more than just a coffee. It’s a connection to our heritage and culture. The aroma of Cafe Bustelo brings back fond memories of my childhood and the time spent with my grandma. It’s a symbol of our family traditions and the warmth of our home. Even though I no longer drink it, the smell still evokes a sense of comfort. Cafe Bustelo is not just a coffee, it’s a cherished part of our family’s history and a reminder of our roots.
