Butterfly Tray
In 1929, My great-grandfather, Walter Jones, bought two handmade trays off a man by the name Carlos Zipperer at the docks in Baltimore, Maryland. Baltimore Harbor was known for immigration back in the early 1900's. It was one of the main places where immigrants came to America. The handmade trays include real, preserved butterflies. When my father was a young kid, these trays were hung up in his grandparents' house. Now, these two trays hang up in my father and my uncle's houses. The trays will eventually get passed down to my cousins and me.
