When my grandfather was coming back to Nepal from England he brought a Buddha Statue as a gift for me. In the family, my grandfather liked me the most for some reason so I kept the statue and put it near my bed. The reason why I put the Buddha statue near my bed was that the Buddha statue represents my God in my religion and another reason is that in my religion it means no evil things will happen to you or your family. I kept the statue so it helps me remember my grandfather, who lives in England so he can send us the money from the U.K because my grandfather used to be a British Army so after his retirement the government gave him the money so he is good in England and send us the money so we can buy things. When me and my family were moving to America I brought the Buddha Statue with me because it was our first time coming to America and we didn't know anything and everything in America was so different. I got scared and shy for so sometimes or even a year at school time when I didn't know any English so it was hard for me to make some friend but I didn't give up because the Buddha Statue I brought from Nepal it give me so hope and strength because every day when me, my brother and my dad go to work and we going to school me and my family pray that we will try our best to live in America so we could have a new better life.
