Brownie
When I was three years old, my sister and I started spending the weekends at my grandma's house. The first time that we stayed, my grandmother gave each of us a toy from her kid's old toy box. My sister picked a Koala that was our aunts, and I chose the little Scottie dog stuffed animal that was my dad’s. My choice, Brownie has been in our family since my great-grandmother, Gloria, was a kid. She gave him the name Brownie. After having kids, she gave Brownie to my grandpa. He took very good care of the little Scottie and once he had kids, he kept the tradition alive and handed him down to my dad. Apparently my dad didn’t get the memo of passing down Brownie, but luckily my grandma saved him and passed him down to me. Since I was three years old I have had that little dog. I had some very serious attachment issues to him. Brownie went everywhere with me. I guess you could say that he’s a world traveler. He’s been to Disneyland, Idaho, Oregon, and Nevada. Brownie even got to participate in the dog clothes trends. Every year I saved up to get him a Christmas sweater and a toy for Christmas, and even sometimes on his birthday, April 6, if I had any left over money from his other gifts.
