Briyani
My object is Briyani. The roots for Briyan are Persian. Briyani is a dish that is usually made of rice and meat or rice and vegetables. Briyani is usually eaten with Rita, Rita is indian yogurt. Rita adds a creamy and light texture to the dishes without weighing them down. The spices used for Briyani are . There are multiple theories about how Biryani made its way to India, it is generally accepted that it originated in West Asia. Legend has it that the Turk-Mongol conqueror, Timur, brought the precursor to the Biryani with him when he arrived at the frontiers of India in 1398. Biryani developed in the royal kitchens of the Mughal Empire 1526–1857 and is a mix of the native spicy rice dishes of India and Persia .
The reason why I chose this dish was because of a few reasons. Here is one reason why I chose Biryani. The reason is because Biryani is my favorite Indian dish. My grandma made a Biryani recipe that is very good but very hard to make. Biryani is important to me because it's an important part of my Indian heritage. This dish is connected to my family because we are from India and it's connected to my grandma because she made a recipe for the dish.
