Bracelet
This is a photo of my bracelet that was given to me by my cousin, who lives in England. I don’t see her often but I love speaking to her and recently became a lot closer to her. I love knowing what is going on in her life. I love getting updates from her no matter what it is. When I see this bracelet that she gave me for my 16th birthday, it reminds me of the connection we have and I continue to seek knowledge of what she is doing 3,000 miles away. Furthermore, I've added my gems to the bracelet that my mother had when she was in her 20s. Considering I love every one of the gems shows that my family seeks to be knowledgeable about my interests so the jewlary I wear reflects me . This bracelet doesn’t just symbolize a gift I received but also a way to remember to always seek knowledge about the people around you and the people you care about. When people compliment my bracelet, I can tell them about it and the specific gems because of the knowledge that I've gathered on why my cousins chose some of the gems and talking to my mother about why she picked the gems she passed down to me. Which I wouldn’t have been able to share if I didn’t seek knowledge on the connections with the important people around me and staying knowledgable of their lives as we grow.Jewelry is a simple and elegant way for people to hold and have an item that surface level might have no meaning to someone else but can have a large cultural, emotional meaning to another person.
