Biscotti are a type of cookie that originated in Italy. I got the recipe for biscotti from my Grandmother, who got it from her aunt Minnie Boscolo. My great-great aunt Minnie was born in San Francisco, California shortly after her parents immigrated to the United States from Italy sometime before 1900. Every time someone  in my family makes biscotti, they are gone in a day or two because everyone loves to eat them. When I eat Biscotti, I feel like I am still a child sitting in front of the oven waiting for the biscotti to be done baking. Every time I make biscotti, I think of my family in California, and miss them. One major part of Italian culture is cooking, and when I cook I feel closer to my family even if they live more than 1960 miles away.
