My object is a antique piano that was given to my mom by a old woman as part of her wish because my mom used to play music for her on that piano. The piano now sits in our living room just in case we want to use it for practicing or in our mom’s case, whenever. Everyone but my dad plays piano, so we have it well set up. Because of this, we add all the other music stuff in that room.   The piano represents the fact that part of my family likes music. 
Also, it’s position makes it easier to have all our music in our room which makes it harder to have guests. It has books piled on top of it because my family likes and tries to be organized but most of the time it’s just as messy as before. The lamp on top helps represent that even though we have plenty of light from the windows in the room, my mom always wants to be able to play.
