This bible is important to my family and me. My parents are refugees, immigrants, and people that were in war back in Thailand. To start off, my mom is from Burma and my dad is from Thailand. My mom lived in Thailand while the war was happening but she was in the refugee camp which is where she met my dad. During the war my dad told me that he saw many things and all he could do was pray. My mother was never afraid of the war because she mentioned that God is always with her and so she does not fear anything besides God. My mom and dad made my older siblings in Thailand and at that time, my parents experienced the sound of shooting. It scared my parents a bit but most of the time my mom just prayed every single day and read a page of the bible. Luckily no one in our family was injured. My dad had the idea to work as hard as he could to move out of Thailand. Eventually my dad had enough money to leave with my siblings and mom and at that time my mom kept using the bible to pray even when they were on the plane, she took out the bible, prayed before, during, and after. They landed safely and were brought in by a church to help my parents out which made christianity our religion. My mom really depended on God and the bible. She later had me and my sister in the United States and every day she takes out the bible and prays. She uses this bible and prays at night for our future and to be successful. This bible is important because they guided my parents through rough times, safety, and hope.
