My name is Federico Monroy.  I am from Ecuador, from a city called Guayaquil, which is the second city in importance after the capital, Quito.  I came to the United States from my country in around 1990. 

My object is a book.  It is from my country, Ecuador.

Although I was close to my parents, I grew up with my grandparents who not only gave me a lot of love, but they also gave me the fundamental principles to be a good person.  For this reason, this memory is very important to me.

The book was signed by my grandparents in a copy of the Bible and it says, textually:

"Guayaquil September 16, 1984Mr. William Monroy Claudett Dear child, when depositing in your hands, this sacred book, I make vows for the living God, through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, realize salvation and guide you to the celestial kingdom.  They are the wishes of your mother who loves you truly and with a pure heart.
