This animal means a lot to me. This is a Bearded Dragon. In the past, I’ve had 2 other lizards, both bearded dragons too. They were Iggy, and Lemmy. So, the reason they mean so much, is how much I’ve cared for these lizards and felt a connection to them. The connection I’ve felt revolved around the fact that they were always so chill, and they seemed lazy to me. I find it really funny, in a way, cause all they do is lounge around doing nothing. So, they remind me of myself. They always seem to cheer me up, and make me happy. When we got the first one, Iggy, I was around 6 years old. We named him “Iggy” after the Koopa in Mario. Iggy always made me super happy. I felt sad often, and all I had to do was take him out to feel happy. About a year later, we got another, Lemmy. We named her after ANOTHER Koopa, and just kept the pattern. Lemmy was the one I felt the most connected to. She always cheered me up, and I felt super sad when we had to put her down last year. And about 2 years ago, we got Wendy. ALSO named after a Koopa. She loves going outside, and whenever I am sad, I take her out of her tank for comfort. So, in conclusion, I really love bearded dragons, and I feel a strong connection to them.
