My object is a Basketball.  It is a faded brown color and it has little cuts from playing with it.  It is grippy and there  are grooves in it.  It is made out of leather.  I use it for Basketball games and practices.  I got it from a sports store.  The basketball  was given to me by my parents.  This object is important to my family and me, because me and my brother are in love with basketball. We play whenever we can and my dad grew up playing basketball all the way into high school. It also represents sports in general, because everyone in my family and my extended family grew up playing and watching sports. That is why sports are important to me and my family.
