My first basketball This is my first ever basketball that I have owned.  This basketball was given to me by my father after he learned that I wanted to start playing basketball in 5th grade. I had wanted to start playing basketball after a close friend of mine in 5th grade, around 2019, introduced me to the sport. After seeing what he was able to do I was beyond impressed, wishing that I would be able to do that  eventually.  This desire and interest is what led me to dedicate many hours of my life into the sport that I now love. In choosing to pursue this new sport, I had chosen to abandon soccer, where I spent many days focused on reaching my old dream of being a professional soccer player. Around this time, many of my friends similarly made the same decision to forget soccer and go after the popular dream of basketball.
