My flag represents Barbados, which is where I’m from. To me Barbados helps express who I am as a person(sense of self) by being a part of my ethnicity. Barbados has many special occasions like dancing, food, cultural festivals, etc. My favorite moments are the dances and festivals because they bring out lots of color from the country and show what it's really known for. Being from Barbados was passed down from my great grandparents.  My grandmother came to America for the “American Dream”, the opportunity for new things and fresh starts. One of the food dishes in Barbados includes dolphins and plantains, another includes flying fish which taste good according to my mom when fried. Barbados has a lot of water and island space which helps meditate your body. Overall I believe Barbados is very tropical and cultural to my family and I’m proud to be from there.
