Baptism Necklace
Story pending

The object that I'm writing about is my baptism necklace. My baptism necklace is from my baptism native baptism church. I wear it for baptisms to represent a form of light. I’m not allowed to wear it normally because if I lose it then I will need to go to Greece to get another.
It is made out of gold, I got it when I was born and it was blessed by the holy church. I chose my baptism necklace because it’s been in my religion for thousands of years. My baptism necklace tells my family God is with us. My baptism necklace is connected to my mom’s side of the family and it is very important to my religion.
My mom moved to New York in 1996 and brought this historical tradition with her. When I did this project this was the first thing that came to my head because it is very important to my religion. I really wonder if my ancestors used it differently than we used to today.                                Thanks to my mom and my dad for giving me my information on my object and teaching me about my culture.
