Ballerina Statue
My statue is a Ballerina. It is small and it is wearing a pink leotard. Also she is in a ballerina position. I put the statue in my room as decoration at my dad's house. The Ballerina came from Toscania, Italy and is made of porcelain. My grandmother gave me this object in 2007 after I had a dance recital. This object is important to me because she got it for me in Italy and it reminds me of my ballerina days. It connects to my culture because Italians make a lot of statues. This has to do with immigration because my great grandparents were from Italy and moved to America. My Grandmother later went back to Italy to explore more about her heritage and visit relatives. My Grandmother took a lot from her heritage because every time it is one of her children's birthdays she makes spaghetti and meatballs. I hope to some day visit Italy to see were my great grandparents lived.
