My artifact is a baby Jesus doll and it has been in my family before I was born and it's part of my religion, catholicism. The doll is a ceramic doll and it has eyes like a real person and it has on a gold dress with yellow wings on the back of it and sitting on a wooden chair secured by a rope made of a thick straw which is supposed to bring wealth to us. My grandma was originally from Mexico but moved to the US 42 years ago and she was really into her faith and the baby Jesus doll was one of the many things she brought back with her when she went back to Mexico for a few days. In Mexico it depends on the village you go to, some places are very religious and some are not. Every year during February  we pick out  a new outfit and dress it on what we want it to bring to us because it's a month after the new year. The government should be making sure that people who have been here for years are not afraid to practice are religion no matter of their status in the USA and because of that people of all places just want to practice their religion in peace and like everyone it makes us different but we all come together for something even though we have different religions. The government should protect that and not try to scare people into staying home because they are afraid of going out because of what is happening with the mass deportation of immigrants and at my church they warn people to stay inside as much as possible.
