Artwork
This is an artwork that was completely handmade by a person in my country. It was brought to U.S.A from Uzbekistan in 2014 by my family. The reason we brought this was to always remember our culture and identity by looking at this work. Even though this work represents my country many decades ago, it is still very important because it reminds me of my identity and my religion and to always remember the good times that had happened before. Whenever I look at this art, it makes me think of the times I used to dream about coming to this country. This artwork was drawn on an animal skin which was then secured to some pieces of wood. There is a lot of effort and time given to this work but it is totally worth it. This object represents who I am because it shows where I used to live before I came here and contains all the memories that I had when I used to live there.
