This is an antique carpet more than 150-200 years old from central Turkey. My dad bought this in İstanbul 30 years ago and at the time, my dad was a tour guide in Turkey. My dad has always had an interest in history, art, and archeology and around this time he developed an interest in collecting carpets. One of his close friends noticed his interest and decided to show him this rug and sold it to him over a series of payments. When my dad immigrated to America, this was one of the few items he brought. He hung it up in his apartment in Brooklyn and it is now in his Rug store in Tribeca.
