My object is The Adventures of Tintin comic book series. The story about Tintin and his talking dog Snowy going on adventures and solving risky mysteries. The author of the Tintin series was a Belgian cartoonist, Herge but the Tintin comics were first published in 1929 in the country of France. The first editions were in black and white but the rest were produced in color. The book feels slick like the author  wrote the series on a sleek piece of plastic like paper.
This book series is important to my family and me. When my parents were kids they read and loved these comics. The character of Tintin was always shown as a person who is adventurous, honest, kind, and hilarious. When my sister and I grew up, my parents wanted us to read those comics as well, so my mother bought the entire series and that is how we were introduced to the world of Tintin and his dog Snowy. I read these comics with a great interest and I learned so much of how things were back then.  When I read these books I felt as if I was the one going on all of these adventures. I wish I could I would ask the author how he came up with this wonderful and unique storyline.
