This is one of the important traditions in Serbia, it's a ceremony of a saint. My slava is on February 14th, ceremony of the saint Trifundan. It's a really cool celebration where when you wake up, you prepare for the guests because you usually invite guests over (family members mainly). You prepare many foods the night before, the most important being a pogaca, it's basically bread, on Bozic (our Christmas) we would normally put in a coin, a piece of corn, a twig, and foil, and Zito, which is a thing we make on special occasions. A priest comes to your house and you and your family say some prayers and it's more polite if we sit down and eat with the guest when a new one comes, so as hosts, you eat a lot. You also normally receive gifts, it's a really cool ceremony in my opinion.
