A hair clip from my Grandma
When I was 8 years old I received a hair clip from my Grandma. I never thought that this hair clip would become very special to me.
To begin I was born in El Salvador. My mom came to the US when I was 11 months old, she left me with my grandma, and I grew up with her. I remember one day she took me to a town called Santa Rosa de Lima, while I was there we passed for a store, and I saw the clip hair but I didn't tell anything to my grandma. I loved how sparkly and pretty it was but I did not want my grandma to have to spend money on it. So I continued walking with her. When I got home she just looked at me and she said ¨compre algo para ti¨ and she gave me the clip hair. I was so surprised. It was like she could read my mind. I was so happy and excited. She told me to take care of it and not break it because she had bought it with love for her special granddaughter.
Time passed, and when I was 13 years old I decided to come to the US to finally see my mom again after so many years. I organized all my things and also I took my hair clip. During the long trip I took care of it because it was special for me and I make sure to never lose it. Now I live in the United States and I still have it, it has become a precious object for me because I don't live with my grandma anymore but the clip hair makes me remember her and the special moments we had together.
